About This Tune
Snow Deer began as a song composed around 1913 by Percy Wenrich, with lyrics by Jack Mahoney Wenrich, a well-known Tin Pan Alley composer nicknamed “The Joplin Kid” for his early ragtime influences, crafted a melody so catchy that it was quickly adopted by fiddlers across North America.
