About This Tune

Tennessee Waltz was written in 1946 by Pee Wee King (Julius Frank Anthony Kuczynski) and Redd Stewart. It was first released in January 1948 as a single by Pee Wee King and His Golden West Cowboys, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Country & Western charts. The song gained massive mainstream success with Patti Page’s recording, released in 1950.
